Rigby (5Y) and Sonic (3Y) were surrendered to Ferret Dreams in February 2024 due to no fault of their own. They are a lovable and well behaved pair of ferrets.
Rigby is a sweet adult ferret and is estimated to be 5 years old. She is healthy and active for her age. Rigby is the more relaxed half of this bonded pair. She enjoys human attention, snuggles, and nap time.
Sonic is the more energetic half of the bonded pair and lives up to his name. He is a healthy adult and is estimated to be 3 years old.
All of our ferrets have been neutered (spayed / castrated) and descented. They have received their vaccinations for rabies and distemper as babies but we cannot guarantee any additional vaccinations have been continued.
Their adoption fee is a total of $450.
Oscar (2Y) is a delightful single ferret that has been at Ferret Dreams since November 2023. He was surrendered due to unexplainable tummy troubles that his family could not afford to investigate. These issues have since been resolved and he is ready for adoption.
Oscar is playful and friendly. He enjoys spending his time playing with humans and receiving special attention. He is a very happy ferret that can often be found “dooking” to himself as he explores his surroundings.
Oscar has had positive experiences with dogs. Like all our single ferrets, Oscar does not get along with other ferrets. He also does not get along with cats. We do not know how Oscar would respond to children
Single ferrets are not suitable for all households. They require far more time and attention than ferrets with a bonded companion. Single ferrets do best in households with an adult home most of the day to provide enrichment and out of cage time.
All of our ferrets have been neutered (spayed / castrated) and descented. They have received their vaccinations for rabies and distemper as babies but we cannot guarantee any additional vaccinations have been continued.
Oscar’s adoption fee is $250.
Quinn (3Y F) and Phobio (2Y M) have been with Ferret Dreams since March 4th. They were rescued from a larger shelter that intended to euthanize them because they can be a little rough when they play. Ferret Dreams has worked on behavioral modifications and has seen a vast improvement. They are a bonded pair that must be adopted together.
Quinn is more independent of the pair. She enjoys exploring and playing with humans. Phobio prefers to spend his time playing with others. They are both incredibly sweet with humans and are quick to shower them with kisses. They are always so grateful to be loved and held.
They enjoy playing with other ferrets, cats and dogs. Due to their history, this pair will do best in a home without small children.
Quinn has been diagnosed with adrenal disease and has been doing well after receiving her hormonal implant on March 5th. Ferret Dreams will cover the cost of any treatment related to adrenal disease for life. Please do not be discouraged by this treatable condition. Phobio has no health issues.
All of our ferrets have been neutered (spayed / castrated) and descented. They have received their vaccinations for rabies and distemper as babies but we cannot guarantee any additional vaccinations have been continued.
Their adoption fee is $500.
We take great pride in our ability to find the best home for each of our ferrets. To accomplish this, our adoption process is more thorough than your average pet store or animal shelter.
Complete an Adoption Application from our website. All applicants must complete this prior to scheduling any appointments
We will contact applicants within one week to schedule an appointment. We recommend applicants do not purchase any supplies prior to this appointment.
You will come to the rescue for an initial interview and educational session. This appointment will last about an hour and you are welcome to bring other members of your household. We discuss what you know about ferret care, answer all your questions, and provide recommendations.
During this appointment, we determine what qualities in your new ferrets are the best fit for your household in terms of age, demeanor, activity level, etc.
Since you will not bring ferrets home after this initial appointment, you will have time to get your home ready for your upcoming adoption.
Once you have set up your cage and "ferret proofed" the play areas, you will submit photos for approval. If acceptable, Ferret Dreams will officially approve you for adoption.
If we do not have the perfect match for your household at the time of your approval, we will carefully examine our new intakes and waitlist to seek out potential ferrets to meet your needs. Sometimes this takes a few weeks but we promise it is worth the wait!
We schedule an appointment to meet potential ferrets at the rescue. If there is a connection, you will bring home your new companions that day! If it doesn't feel right, we will keep trying until we find the perfect fit.
Our adoption fees are based on the age of each ferret
$325 - under 1 year old
$250 - 1 to 3 years old
$200 - 4 to 5 years old
$125 - 6 years and older
