Carlos (3Y) and Simon (3.5Y) have been at Ferret Dreams since March 2nd. They were surrendered because their family was moving and could not bring their pets with them.
The pair are friendly and interactive with humans. They have had positive experiences with children but have not had interactions with other species. They do not get along with other ferrets.
Their recent vet exam revealed they show early symptoms of adrenal disease and they have both received hormonal implants as a preventative treatment. Ferret Dreams will cover the cost of any treatment related to adrenal disease for life. Please do not be discouraged by this treatable condition.
All of our ferrets have been neutered (spayed/castrated) and descented. They have received their vaccinations for rabies and distemper as babies but we cannot guarantee any additional vaccinations have been continued.
Their total adoption fee is $500.
Meet Oscar (2Y M), a delightful single ferret who has been at Ferret Dreams since November 2023. He came to us because of some tummy troubles that his previous family couldn't afford to investigate, but we've taken care of that, and now he's ready for adoption.
Oscar is a playful and friendly little guy. He loves spending time playing with humans and getting special attention. You'll often find him happily "dooking" to himself as he explores his surroundings.
Oscar has had positive experiences with dogs. However, like all our single ferrets, he doesn't get along with other ferrets. We're not sure how he would respond to cats or children.
Single ferrets like Oscar need a lot of time and attention, so they're not suitable for every household. They do best in homes where there's an adult around most of the day to give them plenty of enrichment and out-of-cage time.
All of our ferrets, including Oscar, have been neutered/spayed and descented. They've also had their vaccinations for rabies and distemper as babies, although we can't guarantee any additional vaccinations.
If you're interested in adopting Oscar, his adoption fee is $250.
Meet Quinn (3Y F) and Phobio (2Y M). They've been part of the Ferret Dreams family since March 4th, after being rescued from a shelter that was going to euthanize them due to their rough play behavior. Thanks to our efforts in behavior modification, they've shown great improvement. They're a bonded pair and must be adopted together.
Quinn is the more independent one, loving to explore and play with humans, while Phobio enjoys spending his time playing with others. They're both incredibly sweet and quick to shower humans with kisses, always grateful for love and attention.
They love playing with other ferrets, cats, and dogs, but due to their history, they would do best in a home without small children.
Quinn has been diagnosed with adrenal disease but has been doing well after receiving her hormonal implant on March 5th. Ferret Dreams will cover the cost of any treatment related to her adrenal disease for life. Please don't be discouraged by this treatable condition. Phobio, on the other hand, has no health issues.
All our ferrets have been neutered (spayed/castrated) and descented. They received their vaccinations for rabies and distemper as babies, but we can't guarantee any additional vaccinations have been continued.
Their adoption fee is $500.
We take great pride in our ability to find the best home for each of our ferrets. To accomplish this, our adoption process is more thorough than your average pet store or animal shelter.
Complete an Adoption Application from our website. All applicants must complete this prior to scheduling any appointments
We will contact applicants within one week to schedule an appointment. We recommend applicants do not purchase any supplies prior to this appointment.
You will come to the rescue for an initial interview and educational session. This appointment will last about an hour and you are welcome to bring other members of your household. We discuss what you know about ferret care, answer all your questions, and provide recommendations.
During this appointment, we determine what qualities in your new ferrets are the best fit for your household in terms of age, demeanor, activity level, etc.
Since you will not bring ferrets home after this initial appointment, you will have time to get your home ready for your upcoming adoption.
Once you have set up your cage and "ferret proofed" the play areas, you will submit photos for approval. If acceptable, Ferret Dreams will officially approve you for adoption.
If we do not have the perfect match for your household at the time of your approval, we will carefully examine our new intakes and waitlist to seek out potential ferrets to meet your needs. Sometimes this takes a few weeks but we promise it is worth the wait!
We schedule an appointment to meet potential ferrets at the rescue. If there is a connection, you will bring home your new companions that day! If it doesn't feel right, we will keep trying until we find the perfect fit.
Our adoption fees are based on the age of each ferret
$325 - under 1 year old
$250 - 1 to 3 years old
$200 - 4 to 5 years old
$125 - 6 years and older
